Attorneys fighting for your right to Fair Wages and Fair Treatment across California
As you may be aware, CPI has ceased doing business and has filed bankruptcy.
While we were hopeful that this case might settle, because it is now subject to the rules of the bankruptcy court, we have to determine what it the best action to take.
We regret this turn of events, but as you must understand, there was nothing we could do to resolve this case, given the events which controlled CPI's existence.
We are extremely pleased to announce that the Court recently granted our Motion for Class Certification in our Class Action in relation to meal and rest breaks. While this is not the end of the case, after over five years of litigation, it is very good news.
If you were employed by CPI as a store manager since March 8, 2003 in the State of California, you may be a member of this class. If you’ve been in contact with us and moved within the past few years, or if this is the first you’ve heard of this case, it would be helpful to the case if you would provide us with your latest contact information. We will certainly need the benefit of any insight you might be able to provide, any documents which you feel might be of assistance in regard to proving our case, and the names and contact information of anyone else you feel might be a class member.
We’ve been informed that there may be as many as a thousand or more class members. So any assistance you can provide will be gratefully appreciated.
For those of you who have waited for this news for all this time, and have been helping us all along, we thank you once again, for your patience and for your continued assistance.
